Body Talk Session: Using a technique similar to muscle-testing, Lois will ask the innate wisdom of your body what to "balance" and in what order. This usually takes about 20-30 minutes, depending upon the instructions from the person's individual "innate." Yet it may take days or weeks before the bodymind has finished balancing itself after the session. Each individual has his/her own unique set of beliefs, life experiences, genetic makeup, ancestral history, and so on, all of which add up to who that person is. All these things must be taken into account when balancing the body so it can heal itself, and this is exactly what the BodyTalk System™ does. What the client experiences during the session varies, since each person is different. Some experience energy moving through the body, flashes of light, inner vibrations, deep relaxation, others feel just peace, and serenity. Some walk out with the pain that has been plaguing them for a long time completely gone. Those who come for several sessions report that they feel peace and joy most of the time, and when adversity comes their way, they handle it with an amazing level of grace and ease. Quite simply, BodyTalk is applied biophysics, sometimes called energy medicine. BodyTalk is a simple and effective form of therapy that allows the body's energy systems to be re-synchronized so that they can operate as nature intended. Each system, cell and atom is in constant communication with each other at all times. Through exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, these lines of communication become compromised, which then leads to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental health. Reconnecting these lines of communication can enable the body's mechanisms to function at optimal levels, thus preventing disease and rapidly accelerating the healing process. BodyTalk's major assets are its simplicity, safety, and the speed of its results. It is non-invasive, objective in application, and works effectively on humans and animals alike. BodyTalk Case Studies from Lois' practice: OVARIAN "CYSTS" DISAPPEAR Colette, a woman in her early fifties, came in with ovarian cysts which were scheduled for surgery, because the doctor was concerned that they might be something more serious than simple cysts. There had been no pathology tests, just MRI readings of the "cysts." The client was very frightened. However, she had two sessions with Lois fifteen days apart. She went back to her doctor about a week after the second session. At Lois' suggestion, the client insisted upon and subsequently got another MRI of her ovaries before she allowed the surgery to be performed. The result of that MRI reading showed that the cysts were totally gone, much to her doctor's surprise. The doctor said that no surgery was necessary. ANXIETY AND PANIC DISORDERS One of the most common and easiest to correct emotional/mental problems is anxiety. Many people have come to Lois and found relief, while situations contributing to the anxiety may even be changed as well. Panic attacks and post-traumatic stress can be successfully treated with BodyTalk as well. Two of Lois' clients with narcolepsy, an hereditary illness of the central nervous system, have had significant enough improvements that they opted to stop taking their medications. Please note that persons with a narcolepsy diagnosis do not ever stop medication from an allopathic medical viewpoint. However, these two clients have done so successfully for a minimum of one year each. They do have to come get "tune-ups" occasionally--which they feel is a small price for not having to take daily medication for a lifetime! About three years ago, while visiting a client out-of-state, one of the client's nine-year-old granddaughters had the end of two fingers severed in an accident. At Lois' suggestion, the father of the child insisted that the severed parts be reattached even though the doctor adamantly asserted that they would absolutely not grow back. Yet he did reattach them, and Lois did BodyTalk in person at the hospital once, and twice at a distance after she returned to Houston. Not only did the finger tips reattach, they function normally with almost no scars. These tips were reattached five hours after they were severed, which is one hour longer than is deemed possible for successful reattachment, according to the child's doctor. More recently, in that same family, the same client's former daughter-in-law had her lower lip and chin bitten completely off by a dog. The plastic surgeon reluctantly reattached the blackened flesh. The same client called Lois, and asked that sessions be done for her former daughter-in-law. With the patient's permission, Lois did three sessions remotely since the client was in a city over a thousand miles away. Remote sessions can be extremely powerful. Not only did the flesh re-attach, but it quickly became pink again, and there was tingling and heat in the area that had been severed. This implies that the nerves began to regenerate much faster than is believed possible. She can also speak clearly, because she is able to move the lip, which means the nerves are working. This should not be possible. Two months later, the scars were barely visible. Since there will be more surgeries, Lois has been asked to continue to do sessions on this client. Update: a few months after the initial reattachment surgery, the plastic surgeon told the client that the original 12 surgeries he had predicted for her chin/lip would not be necessary. She would only need two more surgeries because of the extraordinary healing she was experiencing. He is astonished, and tells her that this rate of healing is a miracle. TERMINAL ILLNESS Over three years ago, a woman was diagnosed with a terminal illness. After the medical community had finished all the horrific, painful treatments, ther illness was actually worse. It had spread all over her body. She was given a month to live. At that time BodyTalk was begun, again, at a distance due to the client's weakened condition, and continued on a regular basis for over a year. Today--three years later, not only is she still alive, but she is joyous and full of energy. Now Lois occasionally does a BodyTalk session on her just to keep her feeling chipper. Since that client, two others with the same terminal illness for whom allopathic medicine had not worked have been successfully treated. HERPES IN LYMPH SYSTEM Tammy, a 42 year old female, came to Lois with horrible pain all over her whole body and multiple sites of swollen lymph nodes, from what was diagnosed by her doctor as herpes in the lymph system. This is very rare, and no one seemed to know what caused it. After the first visit, the pain was significantly less. She was able to reduce her pain medication greatly. By the fourth visit the pain was completely gone, and the swollen nodes were almost back to normal. She also had quite a bit more energy. Tammy continues to get BodyTalk because she loves the way she feels! (Note that different people respond at different rates to any energy medicine treatments, including BodyTalk. Often a diagnosis might be the same for two people, but the deep-seated causes of that set of symptoms may be very different. Many factors contribute to a vulnerability to "dis-ease" states; in other words, there is more to illness than just bacteria or viruses or parasites.) Dozens of Lois' female clients have had the same experience of becoming PMS and cramp-free. Valentina, a recently divorced woman, came in to get relief from constant exhaustion, emotional overload, and clarity about a difficult romantic relationship. She was also gagging every time she brushed her teeth, which she suspected to be an emotional symptom. She got relief from the exhaustion after one visit; the relationship issue was resolved and the gagging stopped after the second visit. And speaking of synchronicity, which abounds with BodyTalk, listen to this! Right before her third visit, out of the blue and without even job-hunting, she got a job paying considerably more, with more power and less workload. Two people who did not know each other both referred her for the position. Within six months she was doing her ultimate dream by getting a grant so she could have time away from her normal setting and routine to write fiction for a year! Donald, a 50 year old accountant, came to Lois quite depressed as he had lost his job when his company downsized. He was convinced he would never work again. This was about two years ago. Shortly after the first BodyTalk session he got a consulting contract, and has been doing consulting with various firms ever since. He is pursuing his passion of shamanism as well, and is weaving that into corporate seminars which he will begin teaching soon. He has always wanted to become a corporate trainer, and it is happening for him. Donald still comes occasionally for BodyTalk. Positive job/career changes are the norm rather than the exception for Lois' BodyTalk clients! CONSTIPATION Debra also came with the constipation problem, which she had had daily since childhood. Not only did the constipation cease completely after the second visit, but neck and back pain that she had been experiencing for several years went away as well. Debra is a 37 year old massage therapist/waitress, and has had normalized bowel function now for almost three years. Troy, aged 44, came to me a couple of years ago after many years of only mildly successful anti-depressant treatment. Within three visits, he was able to begin to reduce his medication, under the supervision of his doctor, of course, and now is drug-free for the first time in a decade. As a result, many situations in his life have changed for the better, both within career and his personal relationships. Maya at age thirty-seven had been on anti-depressants for over two years, and her sex life was suffering from the medication's effects. This was negatively impacting her marriage. After her very first BodyTalk session, Maya began to feel well enough to call the doctor and ask about getting off her medication. Together they began the process of weaning Maya gradually from the anti-depressant medication. She came back for several more sessions, and her body directed us to balance other things as well. Over a year later Maya is still feeling "like myself again" without the anti-depressants, and reports that her sex life has also returned to normal. Her marriage is back on steady ground again. Instead, Laura came to see me the next morning. She told me she had heavy menstrual bleeding and was exhausted, but that is all she said at that time. I did a BodyTalk session on her and set the next appointment as indicated by her innate wisdom. Within a few hours the bleeding had slowed dramatically, and within two days it had stopped entirely. Her energy began to rebuild immediately. She continued to come for several BodyTalk sessions, and has not had further problems with bleeding. At her next medical checkup, no growth was found in the uterus. This was well over five years ago. It is interesting to note that these are also the symptoms of malaria, which can be described as a blood parasite. Benjamin had numerous mosquito bites at the time of his onset of symptoms. Similarly, still in constant major pain eight years after her severe car wreck, Mindy, a massage therapist, came in for BodyTalk. After eight sessions she reported that she had about an 85% reduction in pain. And she was more relaxed, happier, more calm and could sleep better. Her husband happily reported that her disposition was significantly improved. Patricia, age forty-six, came in for treatment of intense long-term shoulder pain which her physical therapy and chiropractic sessions had not been able to relieve. After the first session, and before she even walked out the door, the shoulder pain was gone and has not ever returned, that was in mid-2002. Patricia continued to come for other sessions to address "whatever the innate wisdom of my body wants to address." Several other healings happened as a result. Zora is one of several who have experienced relief of these symptoms, and appear to be free of the "dis-ease" according to lab results. Kate, a fifty-two year old school psychologist, came in with back pain between her shoulder blades. She had experienced this ongoing pain for several months, and was unable to sleep very well due to the pain. BodyTalk sessions addressed the upper third of her lungs with several linkages and never directly treated her back at all. After the first session, Kate noticed a major reduction in the level of her pain. After the second balancing session, Kate's back pain was gone and has not returned. That was in April of 2002. Warren, an eight year old boy, was brought in by his mother for severe headaches about six years ago. After a single treatment the headaches were significantly relieved, with only the occasional, mild headache as compared to his almost constant, severe headaches before his BodyTalk treatmenst. More than one adult has come in with chronic severe headaches and found relief from them, some of them after only one session! Others take a bit longer. Lori, a forty-four year old mother of three, came in with a skin rash around her abdomen. The rash was persistent, but after the fourth session subsequent to her initial presentation of the rash, the innate wisdom of her body was finally ready to allow the skin of her abdomen to do a balancing. (First, underlying issues had to be addressed for the skin's healing to be affected.) Within a couple of days, the rash had completely disappeared.
